Friends of White Horse Hill

From Friends of Sullys Hill to Friends of White Horse Hill -

To better identify with the the refuge the we support, we have officially changed our name from Friends of Sullys Hill to Friends of White Horse Hill (February 2020). In honor of a name change request from the Spirit Lake Tribe along with the support of Governor Doug Burgum and the North Dakota Department of Tourism, Senator Kevin Cramer introduced a bill July 2019 to the senate to change the name of Sullys Hill National Game Preserve to White Horse Hill National Game Preserve. The name was officially changed by the United States Congress in December of 2019. Though our name has changed, we are still the same group that supports the understanding and appreciation of the natural environment and history of the National Game Preserve. As a non-profit, volunteer based organization please bear with us as we progress through the rigorous process of updating our establishment. There may be a mix of the old and new name in use over the course of the next year until all changes can be made. We appreciate your support and understanding during this transition.
